ATM for people who are blind

PRIMARY FOR THE BLIND

ATM is intended primarily for people who are blind as it uses their natural touch experience. It is based more on handicraft than on pure art.

INDEPENDENT EXPRESSION
For the first time in history, ATM allows people who were born blind i.e. without sight memory, to produce an absolutely, independent, three-dimensional expression based on each person’s creativity and skills. It does not rely on copying other people’s work.

TEACHING PRINCIPLES
During ATM courses, a teacher keeps in mind the outstanding quality of the sense of touch, the sense of stability and the remarkable touch memory of students who are blind. The emphasis is on the independence of the student and each new educational step is adjusted to this. It is important for the teacher to have practical experience of working with clay without visual correction.

PRACTICAL USAGE
Mastering the skills of ATM, offers possibilities for work as:

  1. a craftsperson of ATM
  2. a teacher of ATM
  3. an individual artist
